Movie Monday has been moved to Tuesday
So, I’m pretty excited to say that I have recorded my first knitting technique movie. Unfortunately you can’t see it because the dead battery is holding it hostage inside of the camera. Normally I have a back up post waiting in the sidelines for such moments, but since I was so sure that I would rock this movie all in one day, I did nothing to prepare and am left with my own knitting to occupy the space that follows. I’ll warn you, this isn’t going to be very impressive as SOAR was mostly spinning and weaving.
Yesterday, as I sat waiting for my train to come (it dawdled in about three and a half hours late) I listened to the bus driver’s tales of homelife while I knit my way along Brooklyntweeds Noro Striped Scarf from the Christmas List. Some of you’ll notice that I have done something tricky here, explanation to come.
I’ve completed about 6 inches of the Infinity Sweater based on the EZ Classic Brooks Sweater design (from the Opinionated Knitter). So far I am pretty happy about it. I love how she just jumps into the sweater and thinks about the bottom band later.
And I’ve got the first few rows done on Yarn Harlot’s Pretty Thing. For this I bought my first pair of Audi Turbos. I have to say that I am less than impressed. I didn’t buy the lace ones – I don’t like the idea of any kind of ‘resin’ dragging down my speed. The regular Addi’s are just not sharp enough!
Not to mention the slow progress on the Camoflage Leg Warmers for the Hubster.
I think that the best candidate for FO Friday is the scarf, but with only 53 knitting days left until christmas, perhaps I can rock 2 projects this week? Let’s hope the battery charger arrives from Ontario tomorrow!
